About Lucy:
I am passionate about delivering first class, flexible childcare and ensuring that Little Angels is a hub for the local and wider community. Our core values are love, respect and warmth and I truly believe that we deliver a service that is totally different from most childcare settings. The children are at the center of everything that we do.
Having opened Little Angels in 2010 I have a very clear vision of exactly how I wanted to care and educate children. Using a loose part, imagination igniting curriculum the children develop and grow to reach their full potential.
My team are my biggest assets, without them the dream would be nothing more than just that! Their dedication to the team is shown through their length of service to the company in a sector that usually experiences a high turnover of staff. I truly believe that you should train your staff so they can leave for any job, yet treat them right so they do not want to. Happy, motivated staff are key components to happy children and I have a mantra “the child’s behavior is a reflection of your practice”.
At Little Angels we have created an environment that is an extension of home with familiar objects that allow children to feel confident and settled very quickly. Their curious minds are kept busy testing what they already know alongside challenging their thinking – all in a supportive, caring space overseen by highly qualified and skilled practitioners.
So children can play and rest well. Good nutrition is integral to our service. Little tummies full of high quality food ensures that brains and bodies can get the very best from a busy day at nursery.
In my spare time, I love to run and be active with my children and my dogs. I am a Personal Trainer and Spin Teacher which keeps me out of trouble……
